Parcel Platting

Parcel platting, or parcel mapping, is the map generated by the county tax assessor of all real property lying in their jurisdiction. Beware these maps!! They are great to use in many ways, but dont trust in the location of the boundary lines you see on these maps. Most all of these maps have a disclaimer that most people dont read, that says not to use this map for any legal purpose. These maps are created to be more of a placeholder for the County to know who owes them taxes and not for accurate boundary line location. Many lawsuits have happened because people trusted in these maps! If you have a question of your property line location, please call a surveyor.
