Topographic Survey
A simple "Land Survey" is usually done because someone wants to clarify what they are buying, or what they actually own,
or maybe they want to build a fence and have their boundary lines marked. But a "Topographic Survey" is usually done with
the intent to build or expand existing buildings and other property developments. So a "topo" survey will usually capture
ground elevations and generate a contour map that shows the slope of the ground surface. It will show boundary lines as well,
but with the intent of showing engineers and architects where their buildng limits are. A topo survey will also usually show
where underground utilities are, if known, along with any existing buildings and structures.
